i am lesbian and to save money for valentines day im making my girlfriend cute things from constructionn paper..i want to make a little booklet but i dont know what should go in it?! any help?

Since this is the "Drawing & Illustration" section, I’d suggest, you use the booklet idea, but inside the booklet, you draw her a picture for every letter in her name. Like "T" for trust, or something like that.

I work at a daycare, and I am currently the "older infant" lead teacher. I am trying to come up with some really cute, unique ideas for some Valentines Day Crafts. If you have any ideas or a website that could help, that would be great. Thanks!

Isn’t 6 months old a little young from crafts?

I suggest finger paints but you’ll need plenty of patience.

i have to make a valentines day box and i was thinking of making a train or a love caboose and the problem is this is a contest and it has to be original and unique and i don’t know how to make it and it has to be big enough to fit valentines kids are passing out help do you think this is a good idea!

one that easy .
they are for 4yrs to 13 yrs

Need more information such as how old the kid is and is the kid male or female and does the kid have any contact with his bio mom or day or siblings.
You can log on to a couple of craft websites to get idea’s if you cant pass along the above information.

i dont know what to get my friends for valentines day, so best answer(s) gets the 10 points! ps. i want to buy stuff for them instead of making something but if you have a cute craft then i’ll consider that.

maybe you could get them a nice card, get little candies and give it to them, get a little teddy bear, chocolate bar, valentines day ornament, a picture of you and them in a heart shaped frame, friendship bracelet, lip smackers lip balm, and a nice candle

If you ask me, www.theholidayspot.com will be my answer. This wonderful site has everything from e-greetings and wallpapers to party ideas and craft ideas for Valentine’s Day. Plus, you can also get a whole lotta other things like recipes, love stories, games and lots of other things that you can even remotely relate to Feb 14. Yesterday, I found they have updated the section with more articles like movie suggestions for V-Day, romantic ideas and suchlike. So that’s aplenty I guess for you. If you want only e-cards for V Day, go to www.deepestfeelings.com. Me and my sweetheart were very impressed by it.

Trying to make some valentines with my son for all his granparents (8)… He’s only two so would like something easy that he can scribble on and make really from him. Any ideas?

I did these with my 22 month old son and he loved it:

Make homemade clay paper weights that have his handprint on them.

Here’s the recipe for the self-hardening clay:
4 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups salt
1 tsp alum
1 1/2 cups water
*This amount will easily make 8 paper weights
Mix all of the dry ingredients in a bowl and gradually add the water until it forms a dough…if it’s too "crumbly", add a little more water until a dough forms.
You can roll the dough and then shape it into a 1" thick circle, have him put his hand on it, and then let it air dry (it can also be baked at 300 degrees in the oven for 30 mins or so, but this dries nicely on it’s own). Once it’s dry, he can paint it with poster paint, and you can paint his name on it, etc.
My son LOVED helping add all the ingredients in the bowl and helping me stir as well as getting to smash his hand in it :)
